Rusthall Community Arts achieved two successful festivals for the village in two successive years 2016 & 2017. We have now decided to run a festival every two years, rather than annually to enable us to better develop, support and promote cultural activities throughout the year. We are supporting the Rusthall Community Cinema which came out of the Festivals with regular "information along with other local creative events. We have teamed up with Blues with Bottle running regular blues and jazz nights every second tuesday at the Toad Rock Retreat. We collaborated with to commemorate the end of WW1 by illustrating Clive Roberts Book ‘Rusthall’s Fallen with large silhouette images in the shop windows along the High Street and 'There but Not There' Soldiers in St Paul's Church. We are also working in partnership with Claque Theatre on a devised community play for our 2019 Festival. Legend of The Rock will be a highly visual piece of theatre about Toad Rock . From February 2019 through to July this year there will be a variety of activities all designed to get the community involved in devising, designing , making and performing the play. Other events will include tours of Rusthall Common searching and photographing faces and creatures in the rocks; Mask, puppet and prop making. There will also be creative devising and improvisation workshops led by Rusthall' Claqueur Impro Theatre. Do get involved. Let’s make something magical.
